About Clare

Born in England, Clare developed her love of antiques at an early age. Her work in auction houses, first in England and then in New York, where she also studied fine arts and appraising at NYU further contributed to her vast knowledge of the antiques industry. Opening her doors in Greenwich, CT in 1993, she began importing various containers of antiques and decorative objects from Europe to fill her clients homes and share a piece of history with them. She has been a guest appraiser on The Antiques Roadshow and moved to San Diego in 2004, where she opened up her West Coast office.

Clare designs interiors that effortlessly and expertly marry the old with the new, telling a story rich in history. She has designed homes across the coasts, in Connecticut, New York, Kiawah Island, La Jolla, Palm Desert, and Rancho Santa Fe to name a few. She maintains a loyal client base, often designing first, second and third homes for some.

At each sight, she ensures that the design she leaves reflects the people that will live in the home after she's done, believing that a home should be a reflection not of the designer but of the people who live in it. Clare's clients respond to her unique blend of intuition, professional manner and innate ability to help translate a personal style into a stunning vision.
